Lipstick literally dates back to Mesopotamia. Women dyed their lips with powder from gemstones. By the 1900s lipstick was a combination of carmine dye and wax. It also evolved from a compact and brush to the tubes we see today.

DO YOU FEEL SMARTER?

While there are literally hundreds of subcategories within these basic types the key is to try a formula out and see how it feels and wear throughout the day. Does it feel good on? Or better yet do you feel good wearing it?
