ARTIST SHOWCASE: GORGEOUS, BEAUTIFUL, SKIN!

makeup inspiration

Today on Glossible, I wanted to share the beautiful work of makeup artist, Hope O'Connor.

Hope is a member of our very active Facebook group, Glossible. When she posted these I just had to share with you.

What do I love about these photos, other than EVERYFUCKINGTHING? I love that you can see skin. Delicious, beautiful skin.

Get to know how she created these looks below:

THE ARTIST:

Name: Hope O'Connor
Email : felicity.hope.oconnor@gmail.com

Facebook: HOPE O'CONNOR ARTISTRY
LOCATION: Brisbane Australia

>> What is your expertise?: Makeup artist and massive skincare nerd

>> What inspired you to create this look?: I saw a few shots Yumi Lee did with a dark skinned model and black background- and then all this amazing glitter glowing from the face. Like a nebula. I'd been wanting to shoot something inspired by that for ages with strong silhouettes and beautiful colours and finally had the chance too.

FACE:

EYES & BROWS:

(She had perfect skin so I didn't need to cover anything just enhance and sculpt.)

Brows: Viseart Neutral Mattes (brown colour) & eyeko brow gel.

Lips: Clear balm (Artist's choice)

Nails: Graftobian powdered metal in copper mixed with revlon clear nail polish.

Tools: Makeup weapons brushes and modelrock lash curler.

Look 2:
As above but on the lips I used Girlee cosmetics glitter in pink-a-delic and meloncholy.

>>Special Tricks: Lots of shiny stuff on the skin! Golds and coppers. I mixed a clear nail polish with graftobian powdered metal to create the nail colour as I wanted it to be cohesive.

What was your biggest fear with this shoot?: That I wouldn't be able to pull it off how I wanted too.

How long have you been a makeup artist?: Just coming up to two years.

What would you have done differently?:
We had heaps of issues getting glitter to show up in a different look on the same shoot. Somehow with the lighting it was just looking dull and not reflective. So I would have figured that out.
