THIS NAIL POLISH WON'T DESTROY YOUR NAILS!
BY SONIA ROSELLI
The British brought us the so much great fashion and pop culture. I'm almost as crazy for London as I am my beloved Italia.
Sometimes you will see me running around speaking in a British accents to my two dogs...who happen to be British breeds.....
When it comes to beauty products I do love me some British brands and this nail polish is no exception. Did I mention the creator's name is Sonia too? What's not to love?
The brand is oh so groovy..imagine London and Paris made a baby....you know how I love babies.
From the sexy, understated minimalist packaging, (yawl know how much I drool over packaging) and the drop dead "slap yo' mamma sideways" colors, Nailberry has got everything you wish for in a trendy chic "indie" nail brand.
But what do I love most?
As someone on her own journey in creating a cosmetic line, I have to tell you, chemicals do matter with what we put on our skin and nails...
I never thought I would be one of "those" people. The deeper into the rabbit hole I go, the more conscious I am in developing a good product that isn't toxic and full of bullshit.
After this the viral blog post about indie brand Mentality (that caused a bunch of gal's nails to almost fall off) I think it's crucial to understand that just because you have a basement and a mixing lab does not mean that is how it should be done for an indie brand. Downright frightening!
Nailberry is an Indie brand that is doing it the RIGHT!! WITH A LAB. Shall we relish in all things Nailberry? Let's go!
Sonia Hully's passion for beauty came from the film industry and interior design. You know, many careers as only a true passionate woman would do. As a French woman she also loves everything that is beautiful, stylish and of very good quality.
I think I smell a best friend in the making......
Her respect for nature and animals has led her to search for products that are the most natural possible and not tested on animals without compromising the quality.
Driven by this philosophy, Sonia was inspired to create her own "4 & 5 free of chemicals" nail polish in 2013.
Over the past two years, Sonia carried on working on the formula as she had noticed a lot of her clients had dry and damaged nails. With the help of one of the best laboratories in the world she introduced L’Oxygéné in January 2015.
I take my hat off to you and salute you, Sonia. I know your journey was a long process. I bet there were tears of joy and homicidal rage. HAHA!
L’Oxygéné is a breathable and 5 Free of chemicals nail polish.
In other words, it means the natural philosophy of your nails is respected as water and air pass through. It does not contain formaldehyde, DBP, toluene, synthetic camphor, or formaldehyde resin. May I have a case please?
BUT WAIT!!!!!! While I love me a great purple polish, can we talk about her collection of nude colors? Let me have a moment of silence...good for your nails and good for your spirit? Shit. Gets no better than this.....
She also has a whole collection of colors called "Naughty Berries"... I die of laughter....check out the names..... Orgasmic Berry, Coquine, Pop my Berry, Berry Job, Number 69 and 50 Shades. I bet they had a hella good time naming those..I hope there was lots of booze and sex toys involved....
I know I have a lot of readers who are across the pond, and baby, this post is for you.
I am so super excited by Nailberry that the next time I'm there, I hope to pick up at least all the nude shades and the purple...maybe I will even treat myself to a little mani/pedi!
I congratulate Sonia on her breathtaking design and non toxic formula. It's so nice to see integerity is still alive and well in biz. Here is to many years of success for you.
Best of luck to you Sonia and thank you for doing the right thing in your manufacturing process.
