WEDDING MAKEUP TUTORIAL: DOLCE & GABBANA

WEDDING MAKEUP TUTORIAL: DOLCE & GABBANA

Today on Glossible I wanted to do a “Get the Look” inspired post. This is a long one so grab some coffee.

Ya’ll know how I feel about “One Size” fits all beauty, so I thought I would break this post down to appeal to a variety of different skin tones & textures.

I have love D&G makeup forever (My favorite Italian chemist girl crush formulates for D&G so I know how wonderful this makeup is) so when I came across this video I tucked it away for a future post.

While technically this isn’t a “wedding day makeup look” it certainly could be.

Don’t have a husband or a wife yet? Shit girl, sport this look and you are guaranteed to get one. Men & women alike both love this look. #trustandbelieve.

I am all about fresh, ethereal beauty with a touch of bombshell for wedding days. The look is classic and NEVER goes out of style. It also looks fantastic on just about anyone

STEP BY STEP

FOR DRY, DEHYDRATED, SENSITIVE or MATURE SKIN.

  1. Cleanse your skin with the D&G Essential Cleansing Oil (this shit is delicious)

2. Exfoliate with D&G Essential Exfoliator Scrub. Be sure not to use pressure when using. Just massage very very lightly. The beads will do the work for you. If you scrub too hard, you could run the risk of redness. What did I say? Yea. Re-read what I just wrote. Do NOT scrub your face like a brillo pad. Naughty naughty if you do..and if your skin gets tore up because of it, after I told you not to, don’t come crying to me.

3. Mask with thAurelaux Mask. This is such a wonderful treat before a big day. The more hydrated your skin, the better the liquid foundation lays on the skin. If you have mature skin, this mask will plump your fine lines and wrinkles. HOLLA & AMEN!

4. Apply 2 pumps of the Aurelaux Serum all over the skin. Allow to absorb into the skin for 5 minutes. If you are over the age of 25, learn to love serums for the rest of your life now.

5. Apply Aurealux Cream all over face. Rub into skin but don’t over massage. Allow some of the moisturizer to stay on the skin and absorb naturally. This will let your face “drink” the hydration and moisturizer. Allow your skin to dry for about 5 minutes so that your moisturizer is completely worked itself into your skin.

6. Girl, you can’t forget about your eyes. Add Aurealux Eye Gel around eyes to soften any fine lines or wrinkles and allow concealer to lay beautifully.

Apply the Base Makeup Primer on the skin.

FOR COMBINATION TO OILY SKIN

  1. Cleanse your skin with the D&G Essential Cleansing GEL (This doesn’t strip your skin)
  1. Exfoliate with D&G Essential Exfoliator Scrub.
  2. Mask with the Aurelaux Mask.
  3. Apply 2 pumps of the Aurelaux Serum all over the skin. Allow to absorb into the skin for 5 minutes.
  4. Apply Aurealux Cream all over face. Rub into skin but don’t over massage. Allow some of the moisturizer to stay on the skin and absorb naturally. This will let your face “drink” the hydration and moisturizer. **If you are extremely oily, skip this step and use the Bioelements Beyond Hydration instead.

5. Add Aurealux Eye Gel around eyes to soften any fine lines or wrinkles and allow concealer to lay beautifully.
6. Skip primer and use Primed & Poreless by Too Faced.

THE MAKEUP STEPS

If your skin tone and coloring is similar to the model in their ads, here is the look from the D&G website. I added further explanation for more clarification. This looks is also great for my Korean gals and light olive to medium olive skin tones, brunettes. Also great for darker to deep skin tones.

  1. Apply Perfect Luminous Liquid if your skin is dry or mature.
  2. Apply Dolce & Gabbana Perfect Matte Foundation if your skin is oily or if you have large pores or if you want a more matte finish.

Conceal imperfections with Perfect Matte Concealer if you are combination to oily skin tone.

Conceal imperfections with Perfect Luminous Concealer if you have dry or mature skin.

Set your foundation with the D&G Perfection Veil Pressed Powder using a large powder brush. Keep powder to a minimum on dry skin tones.

Give the face a natural glow with the D&G Luminous Cheek Color Blush in Rosebud using a blush brush along the tops of the cheeks for an ethereal look.

Add warmth to the eyes with the D&G Eyeshadow Quad in Desert. Depending on eye shape, add the lighter color to the lid, medium tone in the crease 2nd medium tone on the outer corners. The darkest color won’t be used just yet.

Define the eyes with the D&G Khol Eye Pencil in Black along the lash line, using the side of the pencil to give it more of a smudged look. I actually like this pencil a lot, as it doesn’t smudge as much as other pencils I have tried.

Use D&G Black Intense to elongate the eyes and create seductive flicks. Use the very close the the lash line to make lashes look longer. For hooded lids, use the tip of the brush to get a super skinny line. Then smudge.

With a smudge brush, smudge out the pencil liner for a softly blended edge. Then take the darkest shadow color and smudge under the eyes for a slight bit more drama if desired.

Liberally coat the lashes with IntensEyes Mascara in Black Intense. Start with your bottoms first, then apply at the top. Remember to get as close to the base as possible to get the most bang for your buck.

Bring definition to the brows with the Brow Liner in Soft Brown.

Apply the Lipliner in Rose Pearl and fill in your entire lip. Using a clean lip brush, smooth and blend the lip pencil all into the lips until it looks smooth and even.

Apply Classic Cream Lipstick in Charm with a lip brush and apply liberally. Rub lips together and disperse the color all over. Then with a clean large fluffy shadow brush, apply Perfection Veil Powder on top.

Re-apply the cream lipstick with the remaining product on the lip brush. Rub lips together again. This “stains” the lips to give you staying power. The powder gives your cream something to “stick” to.

Using your clean fingers, tap your lips and push the product into your lips for a “lived in” garden look.

Need a nail color to finish the look? I love the Intense Nail Lacquer in Nude. It’s effortless and doesn’t take away from your gorgeous beauty.

If your skin is super fair with pink undertones, I have modified this for you choosing a slightly different color palette from the D&G line.
Ya’ll love me now? I hope so, cause I love all of you.
